Location Description:
The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the "Jewel of the Desert" since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. It has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space spread out over the beautiful property, 9 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 poolside bars, a gelato shop/cafÃ, and in-room dining), a luxury spa, and 7 pools including a 65' waterslide.

Overview
McArthur's is named after the resort's architectural inspirations serving New American cuisine with hints of the Sonoran Desert delivering a creative fusion of meticulously sourced ingredients brought from farm to table in a menu of comforting delight.
As a Bartender, you would be responsible for making and serving beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner resulting in guest satisfaction; prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests; and maintain significant menu knowledge of both the beverage and food menus.
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document orders for drinks.
- Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
- Check guests for proper identification.
- Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest and personnel guests including those served by other Servers to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
- Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed in order to balance all moneys.
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.
- Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
- Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained.
- Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
- Lock up and store all beverage, food and other items, deposit cash drops and secure bank.
- Attend mandatory meetings.
- Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Adhere to all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to insure all laws are being followed.
The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner from 7am-10pm Sunday-Thursday and 7am-11pm on Friday and Saturday.
Qualifications
- At least two (2) years of Bartending experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant
- Experience in an upscale / luxury dining environment, preferred
- Hotel / resort experience, preferred
- Experience with POS systems - Micros or Agilysis is a plus
- Maricopa County Food Handler Card
- TIPS Certified
- Title IV Certification, preferred
- ServSafe Certified, preferred
- CPR / First Aid Certified, preferred
