Job description

Position Summary

The Bartender is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They must be personable, professional, and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $15 to $16.

Responsibilities

1. Meet the company standards for excellent guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
2. Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus to provide appropriate service.
3. Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures and state/federal regulations.
4. Learn about various beer, wine, and spirits available, and suggestively upsell products to guests.
5. Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size.
6. Verify guest age by checking IDs in compliance with regulations.
7. Communicate a cut-off time to guests as required.
8. Respond to customer requests or concerns promptly.
9. De-escalate intoxicated guest situations; contact management or security if necessary.
10. Coordinate with management when unable to resolve issues.
11. Restock and request additional products as needed.
12. Handle cash accurately; responsible for the issued bank at the bar.
13. Maintain a clean and sanitary work station; ensure bar equipment is clean and well-maintained.
14. Perform other duties such as setup and breakdown of the bar and organizing the cooler as assigned.
