Venue Description

The Grand River Center in Dubuque, Iowa, features over 40,000 sq ft of meeting and exhibition space, renovated in 2020, hosting events up to 2,000 guests.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service, adhere to uniform standards.
• Follow pre-shift notes and bar menus to serve beverages accordingly.
• Serve alcohol responsibly, complying with all regulations.
• Know various beer, wine, and spirits, and suggest upsells.
• Verify guest IDs and communicate cut-off times.
• Respond to guest requests and de-escalate intoxicated situations.
• Handle cash accurately, maintain a clean work station, assist with setup and breakdown.
