Position Summary

The Bartender is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They must be personable, professional, and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $15.57, plus tips.

Responsibilities

• Meet company standards for guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
• Follow bar pre-shift notes and menus to provide appropriate service.
• Serve alcoholic beverages following all regulations and proper procedures.
• Learn about various beer, wine, spirits, and suggestive upselling.
• Pour drinks responsibly according to standards.
• Verify guest age with ID checks as per regulations.
• Communicate cut-off times to guests as required.
• Respond to customer requests and concerns.
• De-escalate intoxicated guest situations; involve management/security if needed.
• Consult management for unresolved issues or decisions beyond standard scope.
• Restock and request additional products as needed.
• Handle cash accurately; responsible for assigned bank.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-maintained work station and bar equipment.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of bar equipment and organization of the cooler.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of bartending experience.
• Accurate cash handling skills.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-directed with team collaboration skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours.
• Bartending school preferred.
