Job summary

A leading golf course is seeking a professional Bartender who will prepare and serve drinks while ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean bar and complying with Arizona's liquor laws. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Job description

Summary:Prepares and serves cocktails, serves food items in the bar area, and handles currency transactions by performing the following duties.Reports to: Director of Food and Beverage / Bar ManagerQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Must speak English.
  • Must possess strong communications skills.
  • Must be of legal age to dispense alcohol.
  • Prepare alcoholic, non-alcoholic and other beverages for customers and servers in accordance with standard recipes.
  • Prepare all condiments to garnish drink orders.
  • Maintain a clean and appropriately stocked bar at all times
  • Complete all assigned opening and closing duties to prepare bar for efficient operation.
  • Communicate health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to management.
Duties and Responsibilities:In addition to the Essential Job Functions listed above:
  • Greet and serve customers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Take and enter food orders into Point of Sale system.
    • Apply knowledge of the full menu, beverages and other restaurant information such as restaurant hours and types of payment.
    • Record currency transactions accurately on computer and tenders proper change.
    • Processes charge transaction through charge transmittal machine and prints, reviews and submits a daily charge report to the appropriate personnel.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Education/Experience:All employees who handle, sell, or serve alcoholic beverages must complete the Arizona Liquor Laws Training (Title 4 Training) as required by the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control. The training course must cover the state's liquor laws and the regulations for the sale and service of alcohol responsible.Requirements:
    • Employees must complete the Arizona Liquor Laws Training and obtain certification.
    • Upon completion, employees must provide a copy of the certification to their employer.
    • If an employee already holds a valid certification for Title 4 training, they must provide the employer with a copy of their current certification.
    This training ensures that all employees are informed about Arizona’s liquor laws and are compliant with the legal requirements for the sale and service of alcohol.Language Ability:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Math Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of various point of sale software applications.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
