Latitude Margaritaville Watersound is currently looking for a Part-Time Bartender to join our team!

Purpose: The Latitude Bartender is on the forefront of Resident interaction with the dining program for the community. From daily operation of the restaurant and bar, to catering and special events.

This position requires good judgment and problem-solving skills. As the face of the dining experience, maintaining positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment is critical while upholding standards and delivering the Latitude Margaritaville Lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Strong understanding of house cocktails, specialty drinks, and bar operations
  • Assist servers with alcohol-related menu questions
  • Explain chef's specialties; identify appropriate wines; answer food preparation questions
  • Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to protect establishment and Residents
  • Stay updated on current menu choices and specialties
  • Transmit orders to bar and kitchen, noting Resident dietary needs and requests
  • Serve orders, deliver accompaniments, and respond to patron needs
  • Maintain table settings and cleanliness
  • Open and pour wine tableside properly
  • Handle billing and payments accurately
  • Contribute to team efforts and perform cleaning tasks as needed
  • Fill in for absent staff and assist with special events
  • Maintain grooming and appearance standards
  • Address customer service issues promptly and refer complex issues to management

Daily Operations and Customer Experience:

  • Maintain high Resident contact during service
  • Build effective teams through supervision and training
  • Create a positive environment that reflects the Margaritaville Lifestyle
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules
  • Keep dining area pristine

Technical Competencies:

Education:

  • High School Graduate or GED preferred
  • TIPS certified

Experience:

  • Previous bartending experience required
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Positive interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of Margaritaville liquor/beer brands

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Willing to work nights and weekends
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits
  • Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail, common sense, team player
  • Have fun! FINS UP!

Compensation/Work Schedule:

  • $12.00/hour plus tips
  • Part-Time (20-29 hours weekly)
  • Evening, holiday, and weekend availability required
  • Open availability preferred

Note: Management may assign or reassign duties at any time.
