Base pay range

$10.00/hr - $13.00/hr

The City of Onalaska is seeking to hire Bartenders. Scheduled hours vary for each event, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. The employee in this position is responsible for various tasks related to bartending operations. Work is reviewed by the Omni Center Manager for accuracy and adherence to procedures.

Essential Job Functions

• Greet customers in a friendly and timely manner and take drink orders.
• Process orders on the cash register and return correct change; follow cash handling policies. Balance cash drawer as directed.
• Check customer IDs to verify age for alcohol purchase.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and drinks.
• Inform the manager of supply levels; assist in ordering supplies if needed.
• Arrange bottles and glasses attractively.
• Clean glasses, utensils, tables, equipment, and work area.
• Manage overuse of alcohol by customers, including cutting off service if necessary.
• Contribute to team efforts and perform other job-related tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Compensation: The wage range is $10.00 to $13.00 per hour depending on qualifications. Flexible scheduling is available. There are no benefits for limited-term positions.
