Job summary

Ocean & Acre in Alpharetta, part of Southern Proper Hospitality Group, is seeking an energetic bartender to join our dining destination.

You will mix drinks, guide guests through menus, handle cash, and ensure a smooth, memorable experience while maintaining company standards. This hourly role requires a positive attitude and excellent communication, with flexibility for weekends/evenings/holidays; benefits include discounts, health coverage, EAP and referral bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverage products.

• Handle assigned house bank and follow cash handling procedures.
• Suggest items based on probing questions to understand guest preferences.
• Provide pleasant and timely service.
• Anticipate guest needs and ensure a smooth dining experience.

What You'll Be Doing

Bartenders are responsible for the success of the bar at the restaurant. This includes:

• Mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverage products.
• Guiding guests through the menus while demonstrating knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
• Handle assigned house bank and follow cash handling procedures.

• Providing pleasant and timely service.
• Anticipating guest needs and ensuring they are set up for a smooth dining experience.

• Must be able to work the hours dictated by the business and schedule set in place by the Manager; Weekend, evening, and holiday work may be necessary
