Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3–5 years bartending experience preferred.
• Knowledge of opening bottled wine, pouring, mixing, garnishing and serving drinks.
• Must be 21 or older; health/alcohol compliance card required.

Responsibilities

• Slice and prepare fruit garnishes for drinks.
• Know lounge menus and discuss options with guests.
• Keep a well-stocked bar with liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins and glassware.
• Understand wine and beer menus; assist guests with preferences and recommendations.
• Take beverage orders and serve guests with attention to detail.
• Deliver checks and collect payments per restaurant standards.
• Prepare and serve lounge food items for guests at the lounge.
• Interact with guests, take orders and serve lounge menu and drinks.
• Check IDs to verify legal age requirements.
• Clean the bar, tables, chairs and work area.
• Organize the bar area to streamline drink prep and inventory.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster and its communities:

• Slices and prepares fruit garnishes for drinks
• Knows lounge menus and can discuss options with guests
• Keeps a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
• Has full understanding of the wine and beer menu and assists guests in their preferences and making recommendations
• Takes beverage orders from guests or servers and serves as requested, paying extreme attention to detail
• Serves guests requests in a timely manner
• Delivers checks and collect payments per restaurant standards
• Prepares and serves lounge food items for guests at the lounge
• Interacts with guests, take orders and serves lounge menu and drinks
• Checks identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers
• Cleans the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a clean environment
• Organizes the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory
• Attends pre-service huddles
• Maintains personal uniform cleanliness and pressed to restaurant standards
• Promptly address guest issues and refers with management as necessary
• Informs Food & Beverage Manager of needed liquor, beer, wine, and other supplies
• Informs Food & Beverage Manager of equipment requiring repair
• Checks refrigeration temperature to ensure proper beverage temperature
• Complies with all food and beverage regulations
• Restocks and replenish lounge inventory and supplies

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; some college education preferred, 3 -5 Years working bartender experience, excellent knowledge of opening bottled wine and in pouring, mixing, garnishing and serving drinks

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

Must be 21 or older, must maintain applicable state health and/or alcohol compliance card

The Physical activities of this position involve:

Balancing, Kneeling, Reaching, Crouching, Pulling, Standing, Manual Dexterity, Pushing, Stooping, Grasping, Lifting up to 40 lbs.
