This is an Intermittent (flexible) position with scheduled hours between 0-39 hours per week.

    Clarification from the agency

    U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.

    Duties

    • Sets up bars for operation, obtains cash bank and stocks service bar. Assures an adequate stock level is maintained, sets up storeroom.
    • Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff. Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips.
    • Keeps bar and work area clean and sanitary.
    • Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Conditions of Employment

    • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
    • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
    • A one year probationary period may be required.
    • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
    • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
    • Pre-employment medical examination required.
    • Must be willing to work irregular hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Must be 18 years of age at time of appointment (Projected date of appointment can be a few weeks or upwards of 90 days from the date of application).

    Qualifications

    Candidate must:

    • Meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment.
    • Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds.
    • Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
    • Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
    • Experience must be clearly stated in your resume in order to meet the qualification requirement

    • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
