Job summary

Geronimo Hospitality Group in Beloit, WI is seeking a bartender who will provide great service and help guests choose beverages, creating a warm and memorable dining experience. You’ll be part of Merrill & Houston's Steak Joint, serving guests with accuracy and a friendly attitude.

You’ll take orders, craft cocktails, ensure accuracy, follow liquor laws, and contribute to a top-notch GeronimoMoment for every guest. This role requires 18+ years and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• You are at least 18 years of age.
• Experience in making classic cocktails.
• You possess basic math skills (able to add, subtract and count change back to customer).
• You have legible handwriting, strong customer service skills and oral communication skills.
• You have a valid Operator's License.

Responsibilities

• Take customers’ food and drink orders.
• Ensure that all orders are accurate and delivered to each table in a timely manner.
• Suggest appetizers and meals to customers based on the menu and specials.
• Make and serve drinks following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by company standards.
• Control allocated guest checks by following established check-use procedures and legibly documenting all required information as the customer's order is taken and processed.
• Process payments from guests and ensures accuracy of guest check and method of payment in order to safeguard customer and company.
• Serve food and/or beverage; ensuring consistency throughout meal.
• Comply with all state and local liquor regulations.
• Respond promptly to any guest request.
• Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and mannerism.
• Maintain clear and open communication between all staff for overall outstanding dining experience.
• Create a pleasurable dining experience for all of our guests.

YOUR ROLE IN CREATING GERONIMOMENTS

As the Bartender, you will serve and present great customer service by providing information to help with food and beverage selections, creating and presenting order selections, and maintain a great dining experience by promoting a warm and friendly atmosphere.

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

• You are at least 18 years of age
• You have experience in making classic cocktails

YOU’LL STAND OUT IF YOU BRING

• You have one year of bartending experience (preferred)
• You have wine experience and/or certification

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT

• U.S. Work Authorization (required).
