Kneads Bakeshop is expanding and preparing to open a new location in Logan Circle, Washington, DC. We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender/Mixologist to join our team at our bustling restaurant and bakery.

• Proficiency in coffee brewing techniques.
• Knowledge of coffee beans, brewing equipment, and cocktail ingredients.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Exquisitely prepare coffee beverages (espresso, cappuccino, latte, specialty drinks).
• Create and serve cocktails, mocktails, smoothies and juices per recipes.
• Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations.
• Maintain beverage quality and presentation, monitor freshness and taste.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and shakers; ensure cleanliness.
• Monitor inventories of beans, syrups, spirits, and supplies; communicate needs to management.
• Uphold hygiene and sanitation standards in coffee and bar areas; follow food safety rules.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive team environment.

Role & Responsibilities

·Expertly prepare a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and consistency.

·Create and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, smoothies, and juices, adhering to recipe standards and customer preferences.

·Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders accurately, providing recommendations, and ensuring exceptional service to enhance the overall dining experience.

·Maintain high standards of beverage quality and presentation, consistently monitoring freshness, taste, and appearance of drinks.

·Operate and maintain coffee and bar equipment, including espresso machines, coffee grinders, blenders, and cocktail shakers, always ensuring cleanliness and functionality.

·Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, spirits, mixers, and other supplies, and communicate inventory needs to management to ensure sufficient stock levels.

·Uphold strict hygiene and sanitation standards in the coffee and bar area, including regular cleaning of equipment, counters, and utensils, and adherence to food safety regulations.

·Team Collaboration: Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations, assist with food preparation as needed, and contribute to a positive working environment.
