Job summary

Hard Rock Cafe is seeking a Bartender to provide exceptional service at our New Orleans location. You will ensure guest satisfaction from first contact at the bar, serving drinks to specification and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

You will handle cash and payments through a POS system, check IDs, and uphold responsible alcohol service while delivering memorable experiences and entertaining guests to create “Raving Fans.” This role reports to the Department Manager or General Manager and

Responsibilities

• Make drinks to spec recipe.
• Demonstrate responsible alcohol service.
• Serve food.
• Handle cash and other forms of payment.
• Perform proficient sales transactions using a point-of-sale system.
• Properly check IDs for guests who appear to be under the legal drinking age.
• Maintain proper cash drawer balances.
• Direct guests to areas/restrooms.
• Demonstrate impeccable product knowledge.
• Use suggestive selling techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area.
• Maintain proper product pars through bar pulls and inventories.
• Stock liquor, beer, wine, and glassware throughout the shift.
• Properly label, date, cover, and refrigerate prepped items for the bar.
• Maintain a proper 3-compartment sink; sanitize equipment, utensils, and glassware.
• Perform opening, closing and side duties – set up/break down the bar, clean glass/countertops, sweep the floor, etc.
• Answer questions accurately and politely.
• Create memorable experiences.
• Entertain guests to create “Raving Fans.”

Position Summary: The Bartender is the stepping stone… the first area of service for the guests before arriving at their tables. It is essential to provide the guests with a positive experience before they step out of the bar. As a Hard Rock Cafe bartender, you will be assuming the role of tour guide, communicator, showman, decision‑maker, memorabilia curator and musician (at heart).
