About the Role

City Experiences is seeking a Bartender for our City Cruises operation in San Francisco and Berkeley.

Position Overview

Utilize your bartending and interpersonal skills to enhance our public cruises and private events. The role requires extensive cocktail knowledge, a passion for customer service, and a professional appearance. Candidates should be able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment, be team-oriented, and assist with vessel setup and cleanup. Shifts include days, evenings, and weekends.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates are adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare beverages, cocktails, and wine orders according to legal and company standards.
2. Maintain cleanliness and stock levels at the bar.
3. Demonstrate broad cocktail knowledge and prepare complex drinks.
4. Handle transactions accurately using POS systems.
5. Serve guests promptly and courteously.
6. Verify IDs in compliance with beverage laws.
7. Handle difficult customer situations diplomatically while maintaining standards.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation and beverage trends.
2. Minimum of two years of bartending experience in a busy environment.
3. Food Handler Certification required; TIPS certification preferred.
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
5. Ability to obtain TWIC and MMC credentials.
6. Experience with POS systems.
7. Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
