Overview

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external customers, delivering excellent beverage service to guests and cocktail servers at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento, while maintaining excellent guest relations.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Create an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain for gaming entertainment; build and retain guest relations; mentor team members to provide superior guest service.
• Provide exceptional customer service, positively interact with guests and team members, and handle difficult situations professionally.
• Maintain company funds and equipment properly.
• Pour drinks according to recipes; keep work environment clean and safe.
• Ensure compliance with underage serving policies.
• Demonstrate product offerings and ordering procedures.
• Monitor supply levels at assigned bars.
• Report problems or issues to supervisor.
• Manage the security and accuracy of the assigned bank, responsible for overages and shortages.
• Open and close the bar following established procedures.
• Supervise and provide work direction to bar attendants.
• Attend meetings and complete follow-up tasks.
• Perform duties at special events or parties, including setup, teardown, or other assigned tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of ash trays, workspaces, and public areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Typically obtained through completing an accredited bartending course or two years of high-volume cocktail service experience, preferably in a hotel/casino environment.

Additional Requirements:

• Must obtain and maintain relevant licenses/certifications per regulations.
• Pass background check and drug screening.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Knowledge of:

• Mixing a variety of drinks.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Operation of bar equipment and machines.
• Relevant laws and regulations.

Abilities:

• Effective communication with customers and staff.
• Supervise bar attendants and maintain areas.
• Handle currency and make change.
• Understand drink recipes and operate bar equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Work flexible shifts and adapt to noise/crowds.
• Supervise cocktail servers.

Closing: Preference given to Enterprise Rancheria Tribe members who meet job requirements.
