Qualifications

  • One year of direct customer contact experience preferred.
  • Previous money handling experience preferred.
  • Display professionalism; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance per Gilley’s team handbook.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Mix and serve beverages to all guests, Gilley Girls, and cocktail servers who have placed orders.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and stock of the bar including clean glasses, garnishes, and proper utensils.
  • Get proper identification for all patrons appearing less than 30 years old.
  • Make traditional and creative cocktails.
  • Deal with high volume customer interactions, staying outgoing and cheerful.
  • Take and deliver food orders to guests sitting at the bar.
  • Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash transfers to the cage.
  • Build guest relations by talking with customers and making them feel welcome.
  • Observe activity within the bar area and assist guests as needed.
  • Report anything out of the ordinary to management promptly.
  • Handle guest complaints discreetly to maintain positive guest relationships.
  • Provide friendly and helpful service at all interactions to keep guests in play.
  • Use open body language and polite communication with guests.
  • Help maintain a clean facility by disposing of cups and bottles left by guests.
  • Maintain monetary and paperwork accuracy within policies.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner.
  • Resolve guest disputes quickly up to a pre-determined amount; notify a manager as needed.
  • Crosstrain in other F&B areas and perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

  • Observes all activity within assigned area offering assistance to all guests
  • Observes activity and reports anything that is out of the ordinary
  • Capable of handling routine customer complaints and incidents and exhibits the appropriate discretion to identify situations that require the attention of management personnel; effort is given to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships
  • Ensures all guests are kept in play by providing friendly and helpful service at all interactions
  • Utilizes open body language, politely speaks with and assists guests as needed
  • Assists in maintaining a spotless facility by disposing of any cups, glasses or bottles left by guests
  • Maintains monetary and paperwork accuracy and efficiency within department/property standards
  • Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same
  • Empowered to resolve guest disputes quickly and efficiently up to a pre-determined amount. Otherwise, ensuring a manager is notified immediately to resolve the situation.

QualificationsExperience and Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older and have the ability to obtain and retain KRGC Gaming License.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a high-volume bar/restaurant
  • Knowledge of current ABC laws
  • Must be competent in using computer programs
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • One year of direct customer contact experience, preferred
  • Previous money handling experience preferred
  • Display professionalism; excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance as outlined in the Gilley’s Team Member Handbook
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team
  • Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
