Job Overview:

Responsible for the set-up, mixing of drinks, service, and clean-up of the bar area while ensuring quality service, guest satisfaction, and the achievement/maintenance of company standards and profit maximization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures, and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by company standards.
  2. Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner; maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction.
  3. Ring guest checks, collect cash, and process credits and room charges in the exact manner outlined by company policies and procedures.
  4. Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists.
  5. Know and comply with state liquor laws.
  6. Ensure established pars are maintained.
  7. Perform all sidework duties according to sidework schedules.

Qualifications:

Education/Formal Training: Bartending training and certification, TIPS Certified

Experience: 6 months bartending

Knowledge/Skills: Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting trays, dish racks, glass racks, etc. (20-40 lbs); pushing carts, Queen Marys, hotboxes, portable bars (50-100 lbs); carrying trays, dish racks, glass racks, etc. (20-40 lbs)
  • Bending/kneeling to lower cabinets and lift trays
  • Mobility to maneuver in narrow areas and between seated guests
  • Continuous standing required during scheduled shifts
  • Climbing approximately 12 steps (20% of 8 hours)
  • No driving required
  • Ability to handle records and special requests
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks, follow instructions, communicate effectively in English
  • Highly organized with attention to detail in noisy, crowded situations
  • Use tact and understanding in customer service, including stressful situations
  • Ability to accurately count cash and operate cash register

Environment: Physically strenuous; prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and carrying
