Job summary

Renaissance Allentown – The Dime is seeking a professional Bartender to craft beverages and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will maintain bar cleanliness, provide knowledgeable drink recommendations, and work closely with restaurant staff to ensure smooth service.

Ideal candidates will have bartending experience in a full-service setting, knowledge of cocktails, and strong guest-service skills. Weekend and holiday availability is required, along with the ability to pass a background

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a full-service restaurant, bar, or hospitality environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
• Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work effectively during busy periods.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must meet legal age requirements for serving alcohol.
• Familiarity with POS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and guest preferences.
• Provide prompt, attentive, and courteous service to all guests seated at the bar or dining area.
• Engage with guests to create a warm, hospitable environment and enhance overall dining experience.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of beverage offerings, including wine list, beer selections, cocktails, and specialty drinks.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow all responsible-service guidelines.
• Operate the POS system to accurately enter orders, process payments, and reconcile cash/receipts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including glassware, tools, equipment, and product storage.
• Restock bar inventory, garnishes, and supplies as needed throughout the shift.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including inventory counts and bar setup/breakdown.
• Collaborate with servers, hosts, and back-of-house staff to ensure smooth and efficient service flow.
• Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation standards.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and alcohol-service regulations.
