Compass Group is seeking a Bartender at Crossvines Restaurant, 16601 West Willard Road, Poolesville, MD 20837. The schedule runs Wednesday through Sunday, with both full-time and part-time positions available. The fixed pay rate is $4.50 per hour, and one year of bartending experience is preferred.

Position Summary

BARTENDER – full‑time and part‑time. Location: Crossvines Restaurant, 16601 West Willard Road, Poolesville, MD 20837. Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday; hours may vary.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Set up assigned bars; requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
• Maintain stock, prepare, cure and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.
• Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
• Takes and/or processes orders for drinks; mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practice prudent portion control.
• Check guests at the bar for proper identification.
• Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained; demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
• Receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed.
• Lock up and store all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops; secure bank.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keep work area clean and organized.
• Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
• Wash and sterilize stemware.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
