Job summary

SSP America at Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport is seeking motivated bartenders to serve beverages and food, engaging with guests and staying current with beverage trends. The role requires prior bartending experience and strong English communication.

You will greet guests, mix drinks using recipes, input orders at the POS, handle cash, and maintain bar stock. This is a full-time position offering growth opportunities and employee perks.

Qualifications

• Prior bartending experience required.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• Basic math for cash handling and giving correct change.
• Memorize and promote the menu items.
• Operate a POS/register to input orders and close checks.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Use recipes and portion control to mix, garnish, and present drinks.
• Input orders into register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest.
• Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, and record transactions.
• Maintain proper setup of the bar at all times.
• Manage stock and garnishes daily to ensure product quality.
• Adhere to all liquor regulations regarding minors and intoxicated guests.
• Perform general cleaning tasks as assigned to meet health standards.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

They have experience crafting beverages and serving them with attention to detail.

Here are a few things you can expect if you join our team as a Bartender:

• Greet guests in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner
• Use recipes and practice portion control to mix, garnish, and present drinks
• Input orders into register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest
• Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, andensure vouchers are properly executed
• Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar at all times
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes,juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
• Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholicbeverages to minors and intoxicated guests at all times
• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor toadhere to health standards
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Other Requirements

• Previous bartending experience required.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand weights and measurements.
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check and order & close out a check.
• Ability to work and stand in confined spaces for long periods of time.
