Forbici Modern Italian in downtown St. Petersburg is seeking experienced Bartenders to join our team.

The Bartender will provide exceptional guest service, mix and serve beverages, and support servers in a fast-paced upscale casual setting. Candidates should have 2-3 years’ experience in a full-service restaurant, strong English communication, a team player attitude, and the ability to deliver consistent cocktails while maintaining a clean bar.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience in a Bartender position at a full-service restaurant.
• Passion for creating memorable moments of hospitality for our guests.
• Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with peers and Guests.
• Able to understand, speak and follow written and verbal instruction in English
• Excels in a team environment and is viewed as a team player by all Team Members
• The ability to stay positive and calm under pressure.
• A strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow.
• A professional understanding of classic cookery, wine, beer, and cocktails.
• Previous experience with restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Must be able to obtain food safety and responsible alcohol service certifications
• Must be at least 18 years old

Job Summary

The Bartender is responsible to provide exceptional Guest Service, while accurately mixing and serving beverages to Guests and Servers in a friendly and efficient manner. It is the responsibility of the Bartender to prepare and serve consistent, high-quality cocktails and food in an expedient manner, while establishing positive guest relations and maintaining a clean, orderly bar. The Bartender contributes to the profitability of the restaurant by generating sales, adhering to all company recipes and ensuring correct payment for all beverages and food items served.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to balance and carry trays, multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses
• Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time.
• Must have the ability to lift, push, pull approximately 25lbs.Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours during a single shift, while possibly navigating ramps, stairs, and elevators.
