Job summary

Bloomingdale’s Inc. in New York City seeks a full-time bartender to provide hospitable service in a full-service restaurant environment, preparing and serving alcoholic beverages per company, Health Department, and state/federal regulations.

You will educate customers on wine and spirits, handle multiple orders via POS, and maintain beverage quality and stock levels while ensuring a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
• 3-5 years related restaurant/hospitality experience.
• Bartending certifications and training preferred.
• Flexible schedule with retail hours including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to policy and regulations regarding service of alcohol and age verification.
• Follow Health Department standards and maintain area/equipment.
• Prepare and present beverages following recipes and standards.
• Strong knowledge of wine, beer, and varieties of alcohol.
• Educate, sample, and serve customers food and beverage.
• Serve multiple customers and communicate requests to manager on duty.
• Record sales and handle cash and accountability forms.
• Operate POS system to ring in orders and manage cash flow.
• Open/close area with checklist and manager verification.
• Maintain stock levels and presentation standards.
