ROLE SUMMARY :

The Bartender performs daily bar operations and maintains established procedures to provide the highest level of customer service while creating a positive environment and experience for guests. They multitask and manage a fast-paced workflow while taking orders and preparing classic and innovative beverages. They also engage with guests to ensure satisfaction.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Consistently deliver excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building rapport with clientele.
2. Create authentic, custom guest experiences through attention to detail and service.
3. Enter orders into the POS system correctly and process payments.
4. Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring funds are accurate and accounted for at the end of the shift.
5. Monitor patron intoxication levels, respond appropriately, and alert management when needed.
6. Identify customer issues and work with management to resolve them promptly, maintaining a safe environment.
7. Unpack deliveries, stock the bar, and change beer kegs.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
9. Support the bar team by juicing, stocking, prepping, and rotating kegs and products.
10. Display enthusiasm for the brand, products, and company mission.
11. Offer knowledgeable recommendations based on customer needs.
12. Check customer identification in compliance with laws and standards.
13. Complete all opening and closing tasks daily.
14. Manage multiple tasks, including supporting roles like busser, food runner, and server.
15. Embrace and uphold the core values and culture of Cutwater Spirits.
16. Perform other duties as requested.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Two or more years of experience in the food service industry required.
3. Two or more years of cocktail-heavy bartending experience preferred.
4. Must obtain a food handler's certificate and RABS certification within the first 30 days of employment.
