Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality's Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center in Roanoke, Virginia, is seeking a highly motivated Bartender to deliver memorable hospitality from greeting to departure. The role requires a current bartender’s license, 2–4 years of experience, and strong knowledge of wines, beers, cocktails and spirits.

Qualifications

• Requires current bartender's certification or license.
• 2–4 years of bartender experience.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails and spirits.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they arrive at the bar area.
• Maintain proper bar setup daily.
• Guide guests on their beverage journey through descriptive selling of the menu.
• Be accurate in order taking and confirm special requests.
• Be the master of the bar and enhance conversations with guests.
• Work collaboratively with servers and kitchen/bar staff.
• Assist guests with concerns to reach a satisfactory resolution.
• Finalize the experience with timely and accurate billing.
• Stock and requisition beer, wine, spirits, and garnishes daily.
• Mix, garnish, and present drinks following standard recipes and portion control.
• Enter orders into the POS and generate checks for each guest.
• Lock up and store beverages and equipment and manage cash drops.
