Job summary

White Lodging is seeking an experienced bartender to join our hotel bar team. You will craft cocktails, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and thrive in a high-energy, upscale bar environment.

Daily responsibilities include providing high-quality bar service, maintaining cleanliness, and applying mixology knowledge to a diverse menu. The role requires standing for extended periods and working evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Outgoing, social personality with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest service.
• Sharp attention to detail—from cocktail presentation to guest satisfaction.
• Positive, can-do attitude and team-player mindset.
• Previous bartending experience preferred—hotel/restaurant/rooftop backgrounds a plus; willing to train the right candidate.
• Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and responsible alcohol service practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality bar service to all guests, building connections through conversation and recommendations.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar station and complete daily bar cleaning and side work to safety standards.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of the cocktail menu, beers, wines, ingredients, preparation, and garnishes; answer guest questions confidently.
• Ensure consistent food and beverage quality and presentation to meet guest expectations.
• Process payments (cash, card, digital) and perform end-of-shift reconciliation.
• Promote teamwork and contribute to a safe, positive work environment.
• Card all guests and monitor responsible alcohol service to prevent overservice and ensure liquor law compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain a clean, organized bar station; complete daily bar cleaning and side work to health and safety standards
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of the full cocktail menu, beer and wine selections, ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes — confidently answering guest questions
• Ensure consistent food and beverage quality and presentation that meets guest expectations every time
• Accurately process all payment methods — cash, card, and digital — and complete end-of-shift reconciliation
• Promote teamwork and contribute to a safe, positive work environment
• Card all guests and monitor responsible alcohol service to prevent overservice and ensure liquor law compliance
• Perform other duties as assigned
