Job summary

Great Western Dining Service at Murray State College is seeking an engaging Bartender to welcome customers, take orders, and serve food and drinks while maintaining a clean, well-stocked workspace.

You will expand knowledge of beverages, ensure high-quality service, and work with a fast-paced, energetic team to deliver memorable guest experiences. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred.
• Willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation.
• Exceptional listening and communication skills.
• Availability to work nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, taking orders and payments.
• Preparing foods and beverages, including coffee and tea.
• Packaging food and beverages for sale.
• Selling coffee and tea blends and teaching brewing methods.
• Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas; sanitizing equipment and utensils.
• Learning brewing methods and presentation techniques to improve quality.
• Updating signage and displays to attract customers.
• Taking inventory and replenishing items behind the counter.
• Working as part of a high-energy team and adhering to food safety regulations.
