Job summary

Buffalo Wild Wings is hiring bartenders in Burlington, IA to join our fast-paced front-of-house team. As a Bartender, you’ll craft and serve drinks, take guest orders at the bar, and contribute to a lively, welcoming atmosphere.

We’re looking for friendly, energetic individuals who communicate well and work as part of a team. 21+ age requirement and alcohol-serving certification are needed; prior bartending is a plus, but training is available.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and eligible to serve alcohol.
• Certification to serve alcohol as dictated by state policy.
• Friendly, outgoing, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Bartending experience preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Take food and drink orders from guests at the bar.
• Engage with guests to create a fun, social experience.
• Recommend drinks, menu items, and promotions.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar area.
• Check IDs and comply with laws and company procedures.
• Monitor inventory and assist with waste control per standards.
• Process guest payments accurately per procedures.

What You’ll Do

As a Bartender, you’ll create a lively, welcoming atmosphere while delivering top-notch service behind the bar.

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Take food and drink orders from Guests at the bar
• Engage with Guests and create a fun, social experience
• Recommend drinks, menu items, and promotions
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar area
• Check identification to ensure Guests meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages and comply with RAS procedures as defined by federal and state laws
• Replace kegs and restock bottles of alcohol when necessary
• Monitor and manage bar inventory and cost control measures including tracking waste per company drink specs and Standard Operating Procedures
• Collect and accurately process guest payments per Company Standard Procedures
• Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customer excessive drinking by taking appropriate precautions
• Take food and beverage orders from serving staff or directly from Guests

Education/Experience

Required

• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Certification to serve alcohol as dictated by the State and BWW policy

Preferred

• Prior bartending experience
• Minimum of two years of related experience or Buffalo Wild Wings experience

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
• Able to lift and carry items (up to 25–40 lbs)
• Comfortable moving quickly in a busy environment
