Come and join our team at this 605-room convention center hotel in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Our luxury hotel is located next to the Paycom Center (OKC Thunder), the Oklahoma Convention Center, and across the street from the 70-acre Scissortail Park.

The property features an all-day dining outlet (Seltzer's Modern Diner), an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House), a specialty restaurant (Bob's Steak & Chop House), a coffee shop (Park Grounds), and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Guests can enjoy Mokara Spa, a fitness center, and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) with a fire pit, outdoor lawn, and cabanas. The hotel offers 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 20,000 sq ft ballroom, a 10,000 sq ft ballroom, and a 4,200 sq ft outdoor pre-function space overlooking the park.

Job Description

Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is seeking a guest-focused on-call Bartender to join the team at this upscale hotel, working in the lobby bar. Basin Bar is the perfect place for guests to enjoy a pre-dinner drink or to close the evening with a selection of local craft beers and expertly crafted cocktails. The team member will be responsible for providing efficient, friendly customer service at all times and maintaining a clean, professional, top-quality bar.

Responsibilities

1. Mix drinks for servers according to standard recipes.
2. Be familiar with the wine list, stemware, and appropriate garnishes.
3. Follow procedures outlined in employee and bartender manuals. Use jigger for pouring and make drinks for servers only when rung in on Micros.
4. Keep the bar stocked and clean, following the sidework sheet.
5. Monitor inventory regularly.
6. Ensure consistency in the presentation and recipes of all cocktails.
7. Enforce all policies related to liquor liability laws.
8. Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurant offerings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of bartending experience required.
• Extensive wine knowledge is strongly desired.
• One year of restaurant experience required.
• Pleasant personality with the ability to connect with guests required.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• State Alcohol certification and Food Handler certification required.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the hotel.
