The Delta Hotels Minneapolis Northeast is seeking a part-time, hourly Bartender.

As a premier Northeast destination restaurant, the TC400 Tavern Bartender's primary responsibility will be to take drink orders, prepare mixed drinks, and deliver Remarkable Hospitality to patrons at the bar.

Essential Functions
  1. Prepare drinks for customers seated at the bar, and for servers placing orders for guests in their service area.
  2. Serve wine, bottled, craft, and/or draft beer, and liquor.
  3. Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, and straws.
  4. Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
  5. Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  6. Create drink recipes.
  7. Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
  8. Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
  9. Serve food items to customers seated at the bar.
  10. Be trained in effective and responsible alcohol service.
  11. Control guest checks and secure proper payment.
  12. Complete side and closing duties.
  13. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and clean all glassware.
  14. Maintain an accurate cash bank and follow established cash handling policies.
  15. Assist the food service team in all aspects of service.
  16. Obtain and maintain knowledge of current industry trends related to beverage service.
  17. Describe all menu items, alcoholic items, pricing, and methods of preparation, with the ability to pass periodic testing requirements.
  18. Ascend ladders and reach above head for inventory and supply replenishment purposes.
  19. Assist and serve all guests and co-workers in a sincere, friendly, positive, and courteous manner.
  20. Communicate clearly and courteously ensuring compliance with remarkable hospitality standards.
Physical Requirements
  1. Stand, walk, and exert well-paced activity for up to 4 hours.
  2. Work in indoor environments with temperature controlled by hotel systems, including extreme hot and cold areas like kitchens and coolers.
  3. Speak clearly, read, write, and understand workplace languages.
  4. Lift trays weighing up to 30 pounds regularly.
  5. Bend, squat, and lift 40 lbs regularly.
  6. Pull and push carts as needed.
  7. Work in limited spaces with exerted effort.
  8. Perform tasks like stooping, twisting, turning, kneeling, crouching, stretching.
  9. Ascend/descend stairs and uneven surfaces.
  10. Handle tools and equipment, including cutting fruit.
  11. Have listening, hearing, and visual acuity.
  12. Perform manual dexterity tasks.

  3. Minimum age to serve alcohol, with required certifications like TIPS or food handling.
  4. Dependable attendance and participation in meetings and training.
  5. Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance per establishment standards.
  6. Flexible schedules, including weekdays and weekends, based on business needs.
