Job description

Position: Bartender, Full Time

What You’ll Do:

Serve beer and non-alcoholic beverages with strong product knowledge and enthusiasm
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and service areas throughout each shift
Take initiative on restocking, bar prep, and inventory management
Change and move kegs safely and efficiently as needed
Educate guests on our beer offerings and guide them toward selections they’ll enjoy
Operate the POS system with accuracy and efficiency
Follow all TABC and company policies, including checking IDs and responsible service
Report any maintenance or service issues promptly to management
Assist with opening and closing duties
Represent the St. Elmo vibe—friendly, knowledgeable, and professional
What We’re Looking For:

Previous bartending or customer service experience preferred
Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization
Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Comfortable with physical aspects of the job (e.g., lifting kegs, standing for long periods)
TABC and Food Handler certifications (or willingness to obtain before start date)
Positive attitude and a team-first mentality
Bonus Points For:

Familiarity with draft systems and beer styles
Experience in a brewery, taproom, or similar fast-paced service environment
Interest in beer education, events, or community engagement
