Job summary

Oak & Honey at Residence Inn/SpringHill Suites by Marriott Greenville Downtown is seeking a bartender to join the team. You will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, provide welcoming guest service, and uphold responsible alcohol service practices.

• Mix, serve drinks, and verify IDs; remember regular guests and their favorite drinks
• Provide prompt service and check in with guests to meet needs and suggest additional items

Oak & Honey located within the Residence Inn/SpringHill Suites by Marriott Greenville Downtown is seeking an energetic and customer-focused bartender to join the team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, excellent guest service skills, knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices, and a passion for creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every guest. Essential Job Functions:

• Thoroughly and correctly sets up the bar or lounge prior to opening and cleans at end of shift according to AURO Hotels’ policies and brand standards to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction.
• Does all necessary side-work as per schedule, this includes stocking and organize all liquor, juices, glassware, paper, wines, cut fruit etc.
• Is knowledgeable about all menu items and beverages served; their garnish, contents, and preparation methods. Is aware of all daily specials and “86” items. Can answer guests’ questions regarding such with confidence and accuracy.
• Greets guests promptly at bar within two minutes. Takes orders, mixes, and serves drinks to guests. Checks for proper identification when necessary.
• Learns guest’s names and uses them to address them. Remembers regular guests’ favorite drinks.
• Serve guest order promptly according to service standards. Returns as appropriate to ensure all of guest’s needs are being met and to suggestively sell other items.

Experience/Education

High school diploma and general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; previous bartending experience preferred.
