Job summary

Iron Cactus in Austin, TX seeks a friendly bartender knowledgeable about tequilas to craft signature cocktails and tequila flights. You will maintain a neat image, know the full menu, handle cash accurately, and deliver courteous service while ensuring guest satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities include keeping work areas organized, assisting with opening/closing duties, and communicating guest needs to the team and managers. Must be 18+, TABC certified, and able to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Stands and walks during 6-8 hour shift; reaches, bends, stoops and wipes.
• Clear greetings and farewells; communicate requests to team and managers.
• Ability to hear well in a loud environment.
• Accurate math and cash handling.
• May be required to carry trays or supplies (10-30 lbs).

• Exhibits quick, accurate and careful cash handling methods.
• Request ID of anyone who looks 40 or younger.

• Restock necessary supplies and brings all areas up to standard.
• Prebus when delivering food and beverages.
• Discusses problem areas with manager.
• Never serve intoxicated guest or never over serve any Guest.
• Performs open, shift change and/or closing duties.
• Informs expo, runners, support of special requests, errors.
• Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.
• Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives.
• Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees and purveyors to establish a cooperative environment.
• At all times provides a favorable image of Iron Cactus.
• Notifies manager of any guest that is appears to be unhappy.

Nonessential Functions

• Assists various stations as necessary, e.g. running food.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Requirements

Bartenders are required to take care of Guests with 100% compliance to state law, federal law, and company standards.
