Job summary

Sonesta is hiring a Bartender at the Bee Cave/Austin area to deliver beverage service with a welcoming and upbeat guest experience. You will craft cocktails, recommend drinks, handle multiple orders, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced hotel bar environment.

Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer, plus a strong focus on cleanliness and responsible service, will help you thrive. TABC and Food Handler certifications are required. Flexible availability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending, restaurant, hotel, lounge, nightlife, or hospitality experience preferred.
• TABC Certification and Food Handler Certification are required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

If you’re energetic, service-driven, and passionate about hospitality — we’d love to meet you. **What you’ll be doing**What you’ll be doing* Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes, brand standards, and guest preferences.* Provide exceptional guest service by engaging with guests, making recommendations, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.* Maintain strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and beverage menus.* Operate efficiently during high-volume restaurant, lounge, banquet, and event service periods.* Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.* Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards across bar and service areas.* Accurately process orders, payments, tabs, and transactions using POS systems.* Assist with bar setup, inventory, garnishes, stock replenishment, and opening/closing duties.* Follow food safety guidelines, responsible alcohol service standards, and hotel operational procedures.* Partner closely with Servers, Culinary teams, and Food & Beverage leadership to support smooth operations and guest satisfaction.* Support upselling initiatives, promotions, and beverage programs that drive guest engagement and revenue.* Any other duties as assigned.
