Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a bartending professional to deliver exceptional beverage service in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

You will craft cocktails, engage guests, and uphold standards across bar operations while supporting promotions and guest experiences at our Bee Cave location.

Qualifications

• Bartender role in hospitality environments; experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer and responsible service.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience with POS and cash handling processes.
• Flexible availability—evenings, weekends, holidays, event support.
• TABC and Food Handler certifications are required.

• Prepare and serve beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.
• Engage guests, make recommendations, and provide welcoming service.
• Maintain knowledge of cocktails, beverages, and menus.
• Operate efficiently during high-volume service periods.

• Assist with bar setup, inventory, and opening/closing duties.
• Collaborate with servers and culinary teams to support operations.
• Support promotions and beverage programs to drive revenue.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes, brand standards, and guest preferences.
• Provide exceptional guest service by engaging with guests, making recommendations, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintain strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and beverage menus.
• Operate efficiently during high-volume restaurant, lounge, banquet, and event service periods.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards across bar and service areas.
• Accurately process orders, payments, tabs, and transactions using POS systems.
• Assist with bar setup, inventory, garnishes, stock replenishment, and opening/closing duties.
• Follow food safety guidelines, responsible alcohol service standards, and hotel operational procedures.
• Partner closely with Servers, Culinary teams, and Food & Beverage leadership to support smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Support upselling initiatives, promotions, and beverage programs that drive guest engagement and revenue.
• Any other duties as assigned.

What Great Looks Like

• Previous bartending, restaurant, hotel, lounge, nightlife, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Experience using POS systems and handling cash transactions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and presentation standards.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event support as needed.
• TABC Certification, Food Handler Certification are required.
• A passion for hospitality, teamwork, guest experience, and creating memorable food & beverage moments.
