Job summary

KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot in Scarsdale, NY is seeking a friendly bartender to join our fast-paced team. You will greet guests, craft beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and ensure a smooth dining experience in a lively environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of bartending experience, holds a State-Mandated Alcohol Handlers Certification, and is comfortable working around grills and hot surfaces.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of bartending experience.
• Hold a valid State-Mandated Alcohol Handlers Certification.
• POS systems experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and guest-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
• Answer guest questions regarding the menu and KPOT brand.
• Provide accurate information regarding menu, pricing, hours, promotions, and policies.
• Craft beverages to ensure consistent quality for all guests (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).
• Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks.
• Clean and organize the bar to maintain clear sightlines.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by delivering quality service and checking in throughout the meal.
• Inform management of special requests or guest concerns.
• Maintain a positive, energetic, hospitality-focused attitude.
• Multi-task between bar and dining room orders.
• Demonstrate knowledge of classic cocktails and guest drink orders.
• Be a team player and assist others as needed.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Bartender at KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, you are a part of the warm and welcoming environment for the guests. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet all guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
• Answer guest questions regarding the menu and KPOT brand.
• Provide accurate information regarding menu, pricing, hours, promotions, and policies.
• Consistently create drinks to make sure that each guest receives the same quality of beverage both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
• Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks.
• Clean and organize the bar to ensure that sightlines remain clear.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by providing quality service and checking in regularly throughout the dining experience.
• Inform management of special requests or guest concerns.
• Maintain a positive, energetic, and hospitality-focused attitude at all times.
• Multi-task and balance between bar and dining room orders.
• Demonstrate knowledge of classic cocktails in order to properly execute guests’ drink orders.
• Be a team player, assisting other team members whenever needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in varying conditions, including heat, cold, and noise.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Functions:

• 1+ years of bartending experience.
• Hold a valid State-Mandated Alcohol Handlers Certification, ensuring compliance with local regulatory authority health and safety standards.
• Point-of-Sale systems experience preferred.
• Strong communication and a passion for delivering world-class service at every touchpoint.
• Work well under pressure.
• Comfortable working around grills and hot cooking surfaces.
