Job summary

Vision Hospitality Group LLC is seeking a bartender to prepare and serve beverages to guests, supporting our ONE TEAM, ONE VISION philosophy. You will assist in daily operations, ensure beverage standards, and provide friendly, efficient service in a hotel setting.

This role requires the ability to work flexible hours, lift up to 25 pounds, and maintain composure during busy shifts, while upholding high integrity and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Maintain confidentiality of business operations and guest information.
• Ensure safety and security of guests, associates, and assets.
• Communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages and/or food to guests.
• Roll up sleeves to assist team and align with ONE TEAM, ONE VISION.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and brand standards.
• Greet guests and respond to inquiries promptly and courteously.
• Handle POS payments, refunds, and vouchers accurately.
• Stock bar inventory and ensure beverage quality.

Job Description

A bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages and/or food to guests. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

• Complete all required training
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures and property specific brand standards
• Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests
• Provide personalized, friendly service to each and every guest
• Greet guests and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
• Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards.
• Present and serve beverages to guests
• Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with federal, state, local and company laws and regulations
• Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change and processing gift certificates, cards, and vouchers
• Stock and maintain the bar inventory
• Ensure product quality of all beverage-related perishables

Necessary Skills

• Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, associate issues, etc.
• Must be responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow associates, and hotel assets
• Have knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
• Able to report to all scheduled shifts
• Able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person
• Able to work a flexible schedule. We are a 24/7 business which may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidays
• Is organized, honest, and works well with others
• Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person
• Has the highest degree of integrity and is humble, living by the Golden Rule
• Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
• Values of dedication, innovation, showing respect, being driven by excellence, being community-focused, and having a spirit of service.
• Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
• Able to perform work for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment
• Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far
• Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours
• Must be able to handle heat and stress
• Have finger dexterity for operating equipment
• Must speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English
• Must be able to write
