Job summary

Shreveport North Hotel & Casino in Shreveport, LA seeks a bartender to receive and prepare beverage orders, mix cocktails according to recipes, and serve drinks to guests.

You will operate a cash register, maintain bar cleanliness, greet guests, and manage bar stock and ice. Must be 21+ and able to lift up to 25 pounds; prior bartender experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a bartender preferred.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain licenses and/or certifications.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk for entire shift.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare beverage orders from customers and cocktail servers.
• Mix alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to memorized standard beverage recipes.
• Serve beverages, using repetitive motions, in accordance with established service procedures.
• Operate cash register, complete transactions, and maintain accurate bank.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area by removing used glasses, napkins, ashtrays, and wiping bar top.
• Greet and communicate with guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Prepare written requisitions and orders for bar stock.
• Maintain and replenish ice supply.
