Job summary

RoadHouse Cinemas Scottsdale is seeking an experienced bartender to deliver engaging service in a vibrant venue. You will manage bar operations, prepare cocktails, wine, beer, and other beverages while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires 19+ years of age and completion of required certifications within 30 days of hire. Responsibilities include greeting guests, handling tabs, and upselling food and merchandise.

Qualifications

  • Must obtain Title 4 certification/eTips and Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire.
  • Must be 19 years of age or older.
  • Previous bartender experience.
  • Basic math knowledge.
  • Knowledgeable in specialty cocktails, wine, and beer.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in lobby and patio; provide friendly, timely bar service.
  • Deliver full-cycle guest service from greetings to closing tabs.
  • Set up bar and lobby prior to opening.
  • Suggestive selling of merchandise, food and drinks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the bar and equipment.

As one of the first to greet guests upon arrival, bartenders will lead the excitement of the RoadHouse Cinemas experience. The bartender will understand the culture of the concept and be able to expressively educate all guest inquiries. He/she will maintain professionalism in a positive environment and uphold the quality standard of our products to ensure guest satisfaction. The bartender will assist in the safety of our guests by utilizing all safety guidelines and policies to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.

Position Purpose

The bartender will assist in the safety of our guests by utilizing all safety guidelines and policies to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.

Job Requirements/Skills
  • Multitask with a sense of urgency, while maintaining consistency and accuracy.
  • Anticipate guest perception/needs.
  • Ensure guest safety by following all required safety processes and protocols
  • Set up patio and lobby prior to opening
  • Accurate cash handling and fair tip allocation for all shifts.
  • Adherence to legal training and serving requirements.
  • Must be knowledgeable in making specialty cocktails, wine, beer, and keep up with industry trends.
  • Use RHC equipment with respect and care (IPads, card readers, venue valet touch screens)
  • Cash handling using POS (point of sale) systems accurately.
  • Suggestive selling of company merchandise, food and drinks.
  • Bus and pre bus bar top, tables, and patio.
  • Full-cycle guest service from greets, check-backs, to closing out guest tabs.
  • Greet every table in lobby and patio, prior to flags, keep up with flags.
  • Acknowledge guests on premises with a friendly “hello” upon arrival and “goodbye” when leaving.
  • Ensures department cleanliness and functional operations of department equipment.
  • Teamwork, assisting with other departments as needed.
  • Review bathroom cleanliness (per training guidelines).
  • Other duties as assigned
Experience and Education
  • Basic math knowledge.
  • Previous bartender experience.
  • Must obtain Title 4 certification/eTips and Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire.
  • Must 19 years of age or older.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly: stand, walk, climb stairs, balance;
  • use hands to grip, handle, feel, reach;
  • talk and hear;
  • lift 25 pounds or more at waist or shoulder level.
  • Push, pull, maneuver 125 lb kegs using furniture dolly
