Job summary

Aqua Aston Hospitality is seeking a Bartender to create memorable guest experiences and events for owners and guests. You will be responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, preparing drinks, and ensuring responsible alcohol service in a friendly, supportive environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining bar cleanliness, assisting other departments as needed, and upholding company standards for guest satisfaction and safety. Position requires flexibility for shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
• Stand for extended periods; lift/carry items up to 25 lbs as needed.
• Background and drug screening contingent on company policy.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with guests, takes orders, serves drinks, and ensures guest satisfaction.
• Adheres to responsible alcohol service by following limits and portion controls.
• Prepares cocktails and drinks according to recipes and standard measures.
• Verifies guest age prior to serving alcohol.
• Maintains bar cleanliness and organization throughout the shift.
• Assists other departments to ensure exceptional guest service.
• Maintains equipment and bar area in good condition.

Job Responsibilities

As a Bartender, a typical day will include:

• Greets and interacts with guests, answers questions, takes orders, delivers drinks, and ensures guest satisfaction.
• Ensure alcohol is served responsibly by adhering to service limits and portion control processes.
• Prepares drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems.
• Validate that all guests meet the minimum age to be served alcohol prior to serving.
• Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
• Maintains cleanliness and condition of the bar (CO2 lines, soda tanks, soda guns, drain, etc.), tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelines.

Guest Experience and Company Standards

• Welcome and greet guests and anticipate and address their needs.
• Interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
• Contribute to team goals.
• Always follow company policies and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
• Lift/Carry/Push/Pull Items that Weigh up to 25lbs without assistance.
• Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
