Job summary

Diversified Restaurant Group is seeking a Bartender to join our California team and contribute to a hospitality-focused guest experience. You will greet guests, take orders, ring payments, and craft drinks while maintaining a clean and safe bar and dining area.

We require candidates to be 21+, TIPS certified, and have at least 6 months of bartender experience, with flexibility in hours and the ability to stand for extended periods. Health card/work permits per state rules are necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• TIPS certified.
• Minimum 6 months bartender experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Must maintain Health Card or Work Permits as required by state/local rules.
• Stand and walk for long periods; lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with enthusiasm and provide a personal guest experience.
• Take and ring orders, handle payments, and manage POS transactions.
• Prepare drinks as ordered and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe bar and seating areas, indoors and outdoors.
• Keep bar fully stocked and follow all safety policies.

JOB TITLE: Bartending (BR)
SUPERVISOR: Shift Manager, (SM), Assistant General Manager (AGM), General Manager (GM), Area Coach (AC)
STATUS: Non-Exempt

Basic Purpose

A Bartender is someone who enjoys people and is excited about working on a winning team! As a bartender, we count on you to create a unique, personal experience for each guest you encounter. You will blend equal parts enthusiasm, attention to detail, and knowledge of our beverage options. Creating an experience our guests cannot get anywhere else!

Major Responsibilities

• This position plays a critical role in building brand and customer loyalty.
• Greet each guest with enthusiasm.
• Take and ring orders, and handle payments.
• Prepare drinks as ordered.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in both the bar, seating areas indoors and outdoors.
• Ensure the bar is fully stocked for the shift.
• Follow all policies and procedures regarding food safety, job duties and code of conduct.
• Punctual and flexible in maintaining hours of employment.
• Maintain a clean and tidy appearance and work habits.
• Follow all guidelines as outlined in the Responsible Alcohol Service Policy.
• Check guest's identification and confirm they meet the legal drinking age, prior to serving.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

• Education: Basic math & reading skills.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must be TIPS certified.
• Must have a minimum of 6 months Bartender Experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Must maintain current Health Card or Work Permits according to state or local requirements.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform motions involving walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, stretching, and repetitive motions.
