Job summary

asmglobal is seeking a bartender to mix drinks to order and serve guests at events. The ideal candidate maintains extensive knowledge of bar drinks and wines while delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Be responsible for mixing drinks to order and serving the guests
• Be responsible for having knowledge of all bar drinks and wines

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication; personable and guest service driven
• Self-motivated with Professional demeanor
• Pass a short bartending test
• Must have good customer service skills and the ability to develop and enhance guest loyalty
• Availability to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays

Education and/or Experience

• Previous bartending experience preferred
• Must be at least 19 years of age
• Must be able to pass a credit check

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent guest service skills: ability to adhere to Universal Service Standards of proper grooming and appearance.
• Must have basic math skills; ability to count change and balance bank
• Ability to complete required pre-employment food and alcohol service training
• Effective communication skills; ability to communicate with guests and receive orders
• Highly motivated, ability to take initiative, effectively work with others and work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand and remain stationary for the entire length of shift
• Constant standing, bending, reaching and repetitive motions
• Frequent lift, push or pull items and objects weighing up to 50 lbs

Working Conditions

• May be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme hot and cold, depending on season
• Moderate to extreme exposure to noise during events
• May be exposed to vibrations caused by extreme noise during events
• May be exposed to strobe lights/lasers during events
• May be exposed to chemicals when cleaning locations
