Description

The bartender's main role is to provide excellent customer service to our guests and be a team player. A bartender must be able to make measured cocktails according to The Greene Turtle's recipes, serve alcohol responsibly to guests of legal age, and produce all drinks on the service bar following the steps of service.

Requirements

• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and drinks per Greene Turtle recipes and specifications
• Accurately pour wine, liquor, and beer following proper measurements
• Check IDs to verify legal drinking age
• Serve beverages for guests and print tickets on the service bar
• Maintain a clean work area including the bar, cocktail area, beer coolers, and liquor room
• Wash glassware and bar utensils after use
• Serve patrons with a positive attitude, following the steps of service
• Use MICROS to ring items and handle cash accurately
• Possess extensive knowledge of all food and drinks served
• Act professionally and serve responsibly, denying service when appropriate
• Stock and restock the bar as needed
• Perform assigned side work and cleaning duties
• Complete all required training by The Greene Turtle
• Maintain performance standards and motivate team through positive role modeling
• Hold a valid alcohol compliance certification
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested by management

• This position requires standing 100% of the time
• Adhere to uniform policy at all times
• Report to work as scheduled
• Maintain control over alcohol sales and incidents
• Environmental exposures to heat and cold may occur
• Transport up to 80 pounds occasionally and 35 pounds regularly
• Perform reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, and hand immersion in water
