Job summary

SSP America in Portland, OR is seeking attentive bartenders to welcome guests, craft hand-crafted beverages, and contribute to a fast-paced service team at our airport venues including Deschutes Brewery and Hopworks Urban Brewery family offerings.

You will greet guests, measure and mix drinks, manage POS transactions, handle cash, and maintain a clean, compliant bar operation. Open weekend and holiday availability is expected; prior bartending experience is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of bartending experience required.
• Must have open work availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of state liquor regulations and responsible service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a courteous, friendly attitude.
• Use recipes and portions to mix drinks, garnish, and present drinks.
• Input orders into the register and create checks for guests.
• Process cash, give change, verify charges and vouchers.
• Maintain bar setup and cleanliness to health standards.
• Adhere to liquor laws and ensure responsible service.
• Perform general cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Here are a few things you can expect if you join our team as a Bartender:

• Greet guests in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner
• Use recipes and practice portion control to mix, garnish, and present drinks
• Input orders into register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest
• Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed
• Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar at all times
• Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests at all times
• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards

1+ years of bartending experience required. Must have open work availability including on weekends and holidays.
