Job Description

What You Will Be Doing:

Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Consistently offer professional, engaging, and friendly service
• Create a welcoming environment
• Be knowledgeable of wine & cocktails offered
• Manage beverage inventory
• Set up, tear down, and prepare garnishes and mixes for the bar
• Perform stool and service bartending
• Handle cash transactions
• Provide responsible service of alcohol
• Assist guests with inquiries
• Review daily reports, arrivals, VIPs, and groups in house
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Bartender in a fast-paced, high-end bar or luxury property, or at least 6 months of substantial Fairmont food & beverage experience in a high-volume bartending capacity
• Ramp Certified and Mixology certification are assets
• Operational knowledge and proficiency in Point of Sale System
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
• Focus on guest needs, maintaining calmness and courtesy at all times

Additional Information

Physical Aspects of Position:

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps
• Ability to stand and be mobile for up to 8 hours
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently
