Job summary

AATMOS Hospitality's Casual Pint at Holiday Inn & Suites in Pigeon Forge is seeking a Bartender who blends beverage knowledge with warm hospitality. You will serve crafted drinks, guide guests through the beer menu, and create a welcoming bar experience that encourages guests to return.

You should have at least 1 year of bartending experience, a passion for craft beer, and the ability to multitask while upholding safety and service standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of bartending experience preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Knowledge of craft beer strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver warm, attentive bar service that reflects a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
  • Guide guests through craft beer selections, cocktails, and food pairings.
  • Upsell and convert walk-in guests by communicating offerings.
  • Handle guest service issues professionally, including intoxicated guests and safe transportation when needed.
  • Maintain bar cleanliness and ensure proper handling of payments and closing paperwork.

The Casual Pint at Holiday Inn & Suites Pigeon Forge is a one-of-a-kind beer market and pub experience where guests can explore an extensive craft beer selection, enjoy great food, and take their favorites home with them. As a Bartender, you are both craftsperson and host — serving exceptional drinks, guiding guests through our craft beer offerings, and creating a relaxed, welcoming bar experience that keeps guests coming back. This is a role for someone with genuine beverage knowledge, a passion for craft beer, and the warmth and composure to run a casual pub environment with professionalism and personality.

What You'll Do
Guest Experience & Service
  • Deliver warm, attentive bar service that reflects The Casual Pint's relaxed, welcoming atmosphere
  • Anticipate guest needs and show genuine interest in enriching their experience
  • Guide guests through our craft beer selection, cocktail offerings, and food menu including pairings and recommendations
  • Upsell and convert walk-in guests by knowledgeably communicating The Casual Pint's unique offerings
  • Handle guest service issues with professionalism, including responsible management of intoxicated guests — cutting off service, arranging transportation, or asking guests to leave when necessary
  • Respect and maintain the privacy and discretion of all guests
  • Follow all telephone etiquette procedures when handling bar-related calls
Craft & Product Knowledge
  • Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, and bottled or draft beer to AATMOS Hospitality standards and guest satisfaction
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, drink preparations, and beverage offerings
  • Stay current on featured craft beer selections, seasonal offerings, and menu changes
  • Follow AATMOS Hospitality Cost Per Pour standards to ensure consistent quality and profitability
  • Ensure all food is prepared and plated to AATMOS Hospitality standards when applicable
Operations & Standards
  • Stock the bar with sufficient alcohol, garnishes, glassware, and supplies at all times
  • Verify guest identification to confirm legal drinking age
  • Process guest checks and closing paperwork accurately and in a timely mannerUse hotel software systems in accordance with AATMOS Hospitality Standard Operating Procedures
  • Conduct beverage and food inventory per AATMOS Hospitality standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully sanitized bar, including countertops, glassware, utensils, and equipment throughout and at the end of each shift
  • Break down and prepare the bar for the next shift, ensuring all workspaces and equipment are clean and ready
  • Dispose of all empty cans and glass bottles in the appropriate containers
Requirements
What We're Looking For
Experience & Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of bartending experience preferred
  • Knowledge of craft beer strongly preferred given The Casual Pint's beer market concept
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
Skills & Abilities
  • Warm, approachable demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm, composed, and professional when handling difficult or unruly guests
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and complete orders quickly and accurately
Physical & Schedule Requirements
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs throughout each shift
  • TABC server permit from a TABC certified program required within 60 days of hire and must be maintained throughout employment
