Job summary

Red Door Woodfired Grill in Overland Park, KS, is seeking an experienced Bartender to deliver hospitality and craft high-quality beverages. You will greet guests, craft cocktails, and guide guests through our drink menu while upholding service standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Current alcohol service certification.
• Prior bartending experience preferred in a full-service or upscale environment.
• Completion of required server training and knowledge.
• Maintain cleanliness, professionalism, and team alignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, genuine welcome to guests at the bar and dining room.
• Craft and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.
• Present beverage menus highlighting small-batch cocktails, featured spirits, and rotating options.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all drink recipes, garnishes, and ingredients, including rotating features.
• Recommend pairings and cocktails, as well as spirits and food offerings, through hospitality.
• Manage bar pace with professionalism—balancing guest flow, ticket volume, and takeout orders.
• Prepare and serve drinks for servers’ guests efficiently and accurately, communicating with the service team.
• Handle all cash and card transactions with accuracy and integrity.
• Maintain bar organization, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Comply with local alcohol service laws and company policies.
• Support team members by running drinks and maintaining collaboration.
• Uphold Red Door standards for appearance and hospitality.

Your Impact And Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve drinks for servers’ guests efficiently and accurately, maintaining strong communication with the service team.
• Handle all cash and card transactions with accuracy, integrity, and accountability.
• Maintain bar organization, cleanliness, and presentation—including bar tops, wells, coolers, shelves, and floors.
• Ensure bar seating areas and nearby tables remain clean and inviting.
• Comply with all local alcohol service laws and the company's responsible service policies.
• Support team members by running drinks, assisting with side work, and maintaining a collaborative environment.
• Uphold Red Door standards for appearance, hospitality, and the philosophy of Leave your troubles at the door.
