A Big Chill Island House Bartender is lively, approachable, and zealous. Bartenders will dazzle our guests by showing them how to eat, drink and be chill. They will lead our FOH staff by setting examples of professionalism and top‑notch hospitality through every guest interaction. If you have the passion and aptitude to transform cocktails into experiences, come chill with us!

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Welcome and greet guests quickly with a smile. Make all of our guests feel comfortable and be attentive, approachable and fun with every interaction.
  • Always be professional and competent. Know everything about our signature cocktails, craft beer, tailored wine selection, and spirits. Must provide a tour of our menus and suggest food pairings.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant's standard drink recipes.
  • Slice fruit and assist barbacks in squeezing juices at the prescribed par level needed for each day.
  • Constantly maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
  • Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the bar and/or general manager.
  • Assist in restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Be knowledgeable about the Barefoot landing and surrounding areas. Be a storyteller. Engage our guests with information.
  • Be a guest recognition expert. Know our regulars by name and obtain new ones!
  • Do not be "just" an order taker. Answer questions appropriately. Take orders accurately.
  • Enter orders in our point‑of‑sale system quickly and accurately.
  • Be interesting. Be unique. Have fun!
  • Monitor and observe guests' dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests. Alert the manager on duty immediately should a guest appear intoxicated and respond accordingly.
  • Promote Big Chill Island House events and the Restaurant.
  • Prepare the final bill, present a check to the guest, accept payment, and accurately process card charges or make change.
  • Provide appropriate farewells to all guests.
  • Be a team player and assist with side work at the start and end of each shift.
  • Be flexible to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
  • Live as a brand ambassador and make decisions in the best interest of the Island House at all times.
  • Keep the bar stocked and clean while always providing friendly and attentive service.
  • Adhering to company and state standards for serving alcoholic beverages.
Qualifications
