Starfish Hospitality Group in Newport Beach, California is seeking a Bartender to join our growing restaurant group. We offer an upscale but inviting concept across our restaurants, Coastal Catering, and The Cove by Starfish, with a focus on Asian Coastal Cuisine.

Join our team to deliver knowledgeable beverage service, follow state alcohol laws, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in a dynamic bar environment.

Qualifications

• Appropriately request and review guest identification for alcohol service per state laws.
• Ability to provide knowledgeable food and beverage service.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge patrons promptly.
• Review guest IDs to determine alcohol eligibility.
• Serve alcoholic beverages safely and responsibly per state laws.
• Provide knowledgeable food and beverage service to all patrons.
• Multitask and manage bar ticket times.
• Prepare drinks according to company recipes and standards.
• Maintain organized guest checks and ensure correct payments.
• Deliver a positive guest interaction and recovery when needed.
• Continuously develop menu knowledge and allergy procedures.
• Restock bar inventory and supplies.
• Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Perform side-work as assigned.

We are seeking to add a Bartender to our dynamic team as we expand our concept.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledgement of patrons in a timely manner.
• Appropriately request and review guest identification to determine eligibility for alcohol service.
• Must serve alcoholic beverages in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with state laws and regulations.
• Provide knowledgeable and dynamic food and beverage service to all patrons.
• Ability to multi-task and manage bar ticket times.
• Must be able to consistently prepare drinks according to company recipe and standards.
• Maintain organized guest checks and ensure accurate collection of payment.
• Positive approach to all guest interactions and recovery efforts.
• Continued development of menu knowledge and allergy accommodation procedures.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the Company’s cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Side-work as assigned.

Essential Physical Requirements

• List and or move up to approximately 50 lbs. frequently.
• Bending, stooping, kneeling required frequently.
• Routine standing for duration of shift.
• Responsible and safe use of equipment including, but not limited to:
• Knives
• Garnish Peelers
• Wine Keys
