Job summary

Olde Nola Cookery in New Orleans is seeking an experienced bartender to join our team. You will take beverage orders, prepare cocktails, and serve guests at the bar, while maintaining a clean work area and stock levels.

Candidates should be able to listen to guests, maintain a friendly and professional demeanor, and multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior bar experience and ID checks are essential to ensure responsible service.

Responsibilities

• Collect money for drinks served and balance cash receipts.

• Clean bars, work areas, and tables.
• Take beverage orders from staff or patrons.

Collect money for drinks served, Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol, Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment. Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patron, Balance cash receipts, Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws, Serve wine, and bottled or draft beer, Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons, Clean bars, work areas, and tables. Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks, Serve food items to customers seated at the bar, Slice fruit for garnishing drinks, arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
