Job summary

Pacific Catch, Inc. is seeking a Bartender in Mountain View, CA to deliver first-class guest service and hospitality. This part-time, hourly, non-exempt role requires weekend availability, with Sunday dinner and Monday lunch shifts essential.

The position emphasizes cocktail, beer, and wine knowledge, upselling, and guest engagement. Responsibilities include presenting menus, taking and delivering orders, handling POS, and maintaining bar cleanliness, inventory, and restocking.

Qualifications

• High school education is required.
• Minimum 1-year experience in the restaurant/customer service industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Present drink menu, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages; take orders; promptly serve food and drink, and check in with Guests; up-sell whenever possible.
• Record drink or food orders accurately and immediately after receipt into POS; Accept and process Guest payment and make the correct change as applicable.
• Fill in as a server as directed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Restaurant
• Maintain inventory and bar supplies; assist in restocking and replenishing
• Ensure the cleanliness of the bar area (counters, tables, equipment, floors, etc.) always
• Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages. Wash and sterilize glassware as needed

BARTENDER

SCHEDULE

This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Hours may be different every week and schedules are not set or guaranteed. Weekend availability is a must. Sunday Dinner and Monday Lunch shifts are a must.

COMPENSATION

$19.70 Per Hour

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, including recipes, history, base ingredients, and jiggers
• Ensure a good Guest experience--present drink menu, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages; take orders; promptly serve food and drink, and check in with Guests regarding their experience; up-sell whenever possible

• Minimum 1-year experience in the restaurant/customer service industry preferred

PHYSICAL

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours in length
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds
